Century Bike Ride
Planning on doing a Century Ride in mid August. Stonewall century, southern colorado.
Here is a route for training, 50 miles, from home around (up thru Wash Park to CC trail) Platte to 470, up to Potomac, to Cherry Creek Res, back home.
More notes: From Cherry Creek Shop Ctr to Reservoir, 8.8 mi. another mile down to road. Around loop to Jordan, 13.8 mi. Jordan around to Arapahoe, 16.4. Potoac and Chambers to 470, 20. to I-25, 23.6. Univ and 470, 29. Platte, 34.1. Belleview and Santa Fe, 39. To Confluence, 50. Back to Mall, 54 miles.
From home to 1st Ave and Downing: 7.25 miles. Round trip would add 15 more or less; about 70 miles to big loop. Cool! Middle would have hills with Cherry Creek, 470 trail etc.
These are solo rides of course. Can be a bit boring. What about group rides? Denver Bike Touring Club. Rocky Mountain Cycling Club.
